i've been working on these for a bit now. i made quite a few but there are the first ones that actually turned  out. have to say i'm pleased with the way they are turning out...just wish i could find the soft faux lamb fur fabric in more colors! i'm listing these two in my shop tonight.

yay! my pinkytoast christmas cards arrived:D  love the way they turned out!!16 designs in all. im going to put sets together today so i update my etsy shop with them.

i've been working on holiday fabric and just made these new pinkytoast christmas stockings. i was so excited by the way the turned out i forgot to iron them before i took pictures:/

i ordered some custom fabric from spoonflower with holiday stockings in mind. these are the first ones and so far i like the way they're turning out:)

i got a fun assignment from my friend that is getting married soon. She'll have a table serving coffee and doughnuts and she asked if i could design some signage for the area. after some trial and error and decided on the sketch above. it looked more like the drawing in the upper left corner before i painted it.  at this point i wasn't sure how i'd turn it into a sign but i thought it had potential.  

 

   

next i scanned the painting into my computer. after many hours...more hours that it took me to do the original artwork:) photoshop has a way of doing that:/ i decided to give my friend two options. i sent the final design to spoonflower and in a few days i'll get a yard of fabric back. the picture is a bit cropped but the  top section is two full rows of triangles that i will make bunting out of and the bottom portion can be hung or used as a table cloth.

i cut a new doll pattern...kind of delighted with the way she turned out:) the canvas that i used to make this doll was a bit heavy and it was nearly impossible to turn her horns right side out. the first picture was taken after she was stuffed and i'd sketched a rough outline in graphite on the raw canvas.

i made two more pillows today! i'm in love with spoonflower:) i'm beyond thrilled to be able to make and design my own fabrics!! my sister saw my new fabrics and want me to make a pinkytoast circus version of a 'pin the tail' game in fabric for my nieces upcoming birthday. it's will be this coming weeks project!

  spent all of yesterday cleaning my studio and working on dolls! i only finished two, but quite a few are nearly done. i have a hard time just working one and when a new idea hits i usually jump to the next before i finish the first. and now my my doll table is overflowing:/

sleepy bunny wears a vintage quilt

 

i did some sewing yesterday and finished this little rabbit eared girl. her body was made from a vintage quilt top that i think dates to the fourties. hard to tell but some of the fabric patterns make me think that's a good guess. her face was done painted with inks and artist quality acrylics. i listed her this morning in my etsy shop.

 

Gothic Mermaid Pair- Spoonflower

 

Green Hearted Mermaid pair, the tops were cut from custom spoonflower fabric and the tails were cut from some yardage of vintage wool. I added them to my etsy shop this morning.
