a version of little red riding hood inspired by a very old japanese painting of a samurai fighting a wild boar.

i had fun with this one! i stretched pink canvas in an extra large embroidery hoop and did a loose drawing and underpainting leaving a lot of the pink to show through and then at the very end added silver studs to her eyelashes and colored rhinestones to the confetti.

I Spy!

...can't get away from pulp these days! Some day I'll finish my comic book, but in the mean time a 60's kitsch inspired by the italian diabolique comic book. The painting is 11.5 inches on wood panel, mixed media gouache and listed in my etsy shop.
