Knee deep in a fairy tale

 

a walk in the clouds. my first piece made in my new studio! i'll have to post pictures soon of the space. it's a bit raw right now but the light is lovely. i just added this girl to my etsy shop. she's 8x8 inches, mixed media on a birch wood panel that is ready to hand.

Gothic Mermaid Pair- Spoonflower

 

Green Hearted Mermaid pair, the tops were cut from custom spoonflower fabric and the tails were cut from some yardage of vintage wool. I added them to my etsy shop this morning.

my favorite corner. the vintage music poster we found last year at a local flea market and the begonia was inherited from grandma.

 

I am the one in bloomers

 

my sister found this picture of the two of us her garage the other day. I think I am about four years old here. My mom always went all out for Halloween sewing homemade costumes, making crepe paper wigs, the works. I was a smidge shorter than my sister so I got to wear the dress:)
