a visit to the beach and days of finding stubborn sand inspired these two. from a bluff i did spot a whale spout! but my slacks were not at all elaborate at the time... there was fog, a tattoo museum, and a day of learning how to paddle a redwood canoe. perhaps i should have outfitted them in orange life vests too
